Question by weeping wife: If you pay for the entrance at Epcot during the food and wine festival, how free is the wine and food?
Basically my question is this. My husband and I want to go to Epcot for the food and wine festival. We both love wine and would love to taste all the samples of wine and food. I want to know if all this is free or do you have to pay for samples and wine tastings?

You are going to pay for everything on top of the admission price. Each country has a “marketplace” where you can purchase sample-size servings of their dishes.

Once you are inside there are a couple of Wine seminars and Culinary demonstrations, but you have to get there early they only have limited seats. In the seminars they give you a sample of 2 or 3 types of wines for free… Usually done throughout the day before 4pm
Other than that $2-4 is what you will pay for the different wines.
******** If you cant afford the Epcot FW festival In about a month There will be one at Lk Eola hosted by the Restaurant association. It will be held on Robinson St Lake Eola on Nov 15th $10 to get in the event then wines and food will range about the same if not even cheaper than Disney

not very free…
there may be some wine seminars where you can taste some wine for free but you will have to ask if thats the case. Other wise all the booths around the world have food and wine that they charge for…
i have already gone a few times this year and be prepared to SPEND. the entrance is a must and it includes nothing. the wine seminars are almost impossible, thousands of people want to go and there are only about 30-50 seats depending on the seminar. Unless you want to wait in line 3 hours dont even consider the seminar. As you walk around the countries there are kiosks all over the place and when I go on Sat. nights the lines are brutal at each kiosk. The line in America for Sam Adams beer was about 15 minutes. The one for margaritas was 20. The wine lines at certain places are not bad, for two ounces it is about 4 -6 dollars. I end up spending about 90 dollars just on the kiosks because i like the Moet one and each one is about 9 dollars, the food is small and ranges from 3-7 dollars. I think it is worth it even though i wait alot. good thing is each kiosk accepts credit cards.
Practically Nothing is free.
Food is very expensive but it ´s very good. You can try many things around the worldcase.
The most expensive I found was In Argentina there is a piece of meat (exactly one bite) $7.
Sorry …….. no free lunch…….you have to pay to play…….
