My sister just saw this really cool wine aerator and would like to buy it for a Valentine’s gift. We couldn’t find any wine accessories stores in Philly on the internet.

I gave one to a friend of mine who really enjoys wine and he was soooo happy with it. I was so relieved because I thought it was sort of “as seen on TV” or something scammy, so I was prepared for it to be a gag gift. But it turned out to be a great gift!
@agape1ne @parrothead2481 the filter addition is a good one I think. I’ve seen that in more recent versions as well.
@fengzhou2 I’ve experienced that too- where if you pour too little wine into the aeration chamber it doesn’t seem to do a very good job aerating the wine. This tends to occur when you’re pouring small tasting pours. After a while you probably get used to it and pour so the chamber fills up and the wine is well aerated.
I just got mine in the mail today, via Amazon. It included a filter, which is not listed in the description. I called Vinturi, who said the newest model(s) include a filter. I was fortunate enough to receive one of those!
I love the way it sounds too. My Vinturi came with a filter that fits into the top of the aerator. Maybe it’s something new they added? Sounded like you said it isn’t able to filter the sediment.
Nice review. It influenced me to buy one. I could not taste the difference in the first pair of blind tasting glasses, but could tell the difference in the second pair. It seemed that the first pour didn’t work because I poured too slowly for the aeration to work. If the wine flows thru slowly, not enough pressure is made to suck air thru the air holes. Will experiment it more.
